Panoramic view

The hill known as Mirenski Grad stands below the Karst Plateau next to the Italian border. Rising 120 m above sea level, the hill offers spectacular views of the Friuli Plain and the Dolomites to the northwest, the Julian Alps, the Gorizia Hills, the town of Gorizia and Sabotin Hill to the north, and the Trnovo Forest Plateau above the Vipava Valley to the east. On a clear day, it is also possible to see Mount Triglav beyond the shrine at Holy Mount (Sveta Gora).
