Three communities live and work here creating a spiritual centre for children, youth, individuals, families, homeless people or whoever comes for a visit.
Even though the hill is called Mirenski Grad (literally, ‘Miren Castle’), there has never been a castle here. The name Grad came into use at the end of the sixteenth century, and the reason for this is still unknown.
Mirenski Grad lies at 120 m above sea level next to the Italian border. It is located near the H4 motorway, which goes through the Vipava Valley towards Italy. From the motorway exit to Mirenski Grad is only 5 minutes drive. The hill is also accessible for buses.
