The Lazarists settled on Mirenski Grad in 1913. Their founder is Saint Vincent de Paul and their mission is to serve the poor.

When the first community of Lazarists arrived more than 100 years ago, the priests and brothers were welcomed at the foot of the hill by the representatives of the municipality, local associations and a crowd of people. A warm welcome proved that the people were pleased with their arrival. The Lazarist took care of the local citizens by organizing parish missions, assisting local pastors and providing spiritual retreats. They also continuously welcomed pilgrims and religious people from the surrounding area.

The Lazarists with their Vincentian spirit have significantly influenced the life of local communities and transformed Mirenski Grad into a renowned destination of spiritual retreat and rest. Every year they are visited by many different groups who want to deepen their relationship with God or just visit the hill and its surrounding sights.
